One thing I’ve learned over the years is that students need lots of opportunities to practise their math facts, but they also need variety.
If we do the same activity every day, even the most enthusiastic learners lose interest pretty quickly.
That’s why I designed these digital math games to include lots of different ways to practise the same skills. Students might use ten frames one day, solve word problems the next, then work on doubles facts, missing numbers or counting on and counting back later in the week.
Without even realising it, they’re revisiting important concepts over and over through spiral review and that’s when I start seeing their confidence really grow.

My Favourite Way to Use These Slides
Most mornings, I display one slide as students walk into the classroom.
It instantly gives everyone something meaningful to work on while I take attendance, chat with students, or get organised for the day.
Sometimes we solve the problem together and talk through different strategies. Other days students complete the slide independently on mini whiteboards before sharing their thinking with a partner.
I’ve also printed individual slides to create quick math center games. They work brilliantly for small groups, early finishers, intervention lessons or even partner challenges.
One resource…so many different ways to use it!
Movement Breaks Keep Everyone Focused
One of my students’ favourite features is the built-in brain breaks.
After working through a group of math slides, we stop for a quick movement activity like:
- Wobble Like Jelly

They only take a minute or two, but they help students reset before jumping back into learning.
Word Problems Made Simple
Word problems can be tricky for young learners, so I wanted to make them feel approachable.
The resource includes interactive problems using familiar themes like cupcakes, ducks, cookies, fish, crayons, apples, bugs, beach balls, and more.
Students use ten frames, tally marks, drawings, and number sentences to explain their thinking instead of simply writing an answer. I’ve found this really helps build deeper mathematical understanding instead of just guessing.
I Can Statements Build Independence
I also included visual I Can Statements because they’ve made such a difference in my classroom.
Instead of asking what they should do next, students can refer to the learning goals themselves.
Some of my favourites include:

- I can draw a picture to help me solve the problem.
- I can count on.

- I can explain my thinking.
