HOW TO WRITE A PARAGRAPH FOR ELEMENTARY STUDENTS
So what exactly is a paragraph?
A paragraph is a collection of sentences that share the same idea.
Writing a paragraph is often likened to layering a hamburger.
The first sentence (or layer) is a topic sentence.
The second sentence provides further detail about the topic sentence.
The third sentence provides further detail and possibly an explanation about the topic.
The last sentence is basically a conclusion of the above!
