3 FUN ACTIVITIES FOR NOUNS VERBS AND ADJECTIVES
One of the best way to teach nouns, verbs and adjectives is in a fun and interactive way so that students will be engaged in their learning.
Noun, adjective and verb sorting activities are perfect for grammar practice in literacy centers or grammar centers.
This activity provides students with 3 different ways of practicing grammar and identifying nouns, adjective and verbs.
The first activity is a fun sort where students categorize cards in the 3 different categories.
Children can work individually, with a partner or collaboratively in small groups.
These cards can also be used in a Memory Game or Parts of Speech Games.
All cards are placed face down and students take turns in turning over 2 cards.
If they get a match (a pair of nouns or a pair of verbs etc), then they get to keep the cards.
If the two cards are not a match, the cards get turned back over and then it’s the next player’s turn.
Interactive & Engaging Grammar Sort
The third activity is practicing sentence structure by writing either simple, compound or complex sentences.
These are 3 differentiated writing templates to cater for the varying writing abilities in most classes.
